Working closely with the project designer, architect, general contractor and owner during the theater renovation, S&K Theatrical Draperies, Inc. manufactured and installed this opulent and astonishing proscenium decorative curtain set. The project required a custom made Austrian curtain for the theater's grand opening. The motorized Austrian Puff was complemented with the installation of an exquisite set of stationary red swags. To fashion these decorative drapes into matching with the theater décor, gold bullion fringe was added to the edge of the decorative swag set. This project was very elaborate from beginning to end, and required members of our staff to fly the job site several times. The equipment and curtain installation also presented some challenges, as the space behind the proscenium arch could not be reached via scissor lift or scaffolding. To be able to create the required intricate lift curtain rigging our experienced stage riggers had to build a temporary platform behind the proscenium arch to gain direct access to the overhead structural support and then rig the motorized lift system. It was a fulfilling project, and both the customer and our staff were very thrilled with the results!
