Sunbrella Exceed IFR is a high-performance, flame-retardant outdoor fabric engineered for durability, safety, and long-term weather protection. Designed for commercial and residential applications, Exceed FR combines the trusted performance of solution-dyed acrylic with an advanced flame-retardant undercoating, delivering exceptional strength and compliance with major fire codes.
Made from 100% solution-dyed modacrylic/acrylic fibers, the fabric offers superior UV stability, fade resistance, and colorfastness, even in harsh sun exposure. Its inherent mold, mildew, and stain resistance make it ideal for outdoor environments where longevity and easy maintenance are essential.
The fabric is highly durable, featuring excellent tensile and tear strength, along with a water-repellent finish that supports year-round outdoor use on structures such as awnings, canopies, shade sails, pergolas, and other architectural shade systems.
Fire-Retardant Performance:
Sunbrella Exceed FR meets or exceeds major fire-safety standards including NFPA 701, NFPA 705, ASTM E84, California State Fire Marshal (Title 19), and additional commercial codes. Its self-extinguishing fiber technology provides enhanced safety without compromising appearance or flexibility.
