Medium-weight and heavy-weight Non Fire Retardant Muslin -aka NFR Muslin- is an affordable fabric used for a variety of theater and film production applications. Narrow widths are used for small drops or to cover soft or hard masking flats, while the extra-wide fabric is used to make seamless backdrops, cycloramas or space surrounds.
NOTE: Since NFR Muslin is not pre-washed its width may vary a few inches. When estimating fabric yardage to cover flats, allow at least 6 inches of extra material on all sides. The excess can be trimmed after sizing the flat. Heavy-weight Black Muslin will typically have a longer lifespan than the medium-weight alternative.
Cut yardage fabric may be folded to ship via UPS. Full rolls ship via LTL freight. Purchase multiple rolls to reduce freight charges.
