INHERENTLY FLAME RETARDANT
A fabric that is woven from innately noncombustible fibers and without the addition of chemicals is categorized as IFR.
Sturdy IFR Lining Fabric
Black Poplin lining IFR -also known as Janus and Hurricane lining- is a strong durable wrinkle-resistant and tear-resistant theatrical lining fabric. This 100% polyester material has a tight weave, it is soft at hand and it has a satiny finish. Since it is Inherently Fire Retardant, Poplin fabric is the perfect lining choice for synthetic velour curtains.
Poplin fabric IFR is also a good choice for budget lightweight curtains when fabric opacity is not required.
Poplin cloth IFR meets the minimum requirements of flame resistance established by the California State Fire Marshall for products identified in Section 13115, California Health and Safety Code.
